The Foo Fighters have been hinting at releasing something big towards the end of the year, and they have put their words into actions.
The foos have released a new surprise album, Saint Cecilia EP. The best part about that is, it’s absolutely free! You can download it on their website or listen for free on on any streaming service.
Dave Grohl wrote a letter thanking his fans for their support, and after the Paris attacks, he decided to make it a bit more personal.
“The Saint Cecilia EP was put into motion back in October of this year as a celebration of life and music. The concept being that, as our world tour drew to a close this week, we wanted to share our love of both with you in return for everything you have given us. Now, there is a new, hopeful intention that, even in the smallest way, perhaps these songs can bring a little light into this sometimes dark world. To remind us that music is life, and that hope and healing go hand in hand with song. That much can never be taken away.”
Grohl continues to express his sympathy for the victims. On his site you can find ways to help and donate, as well as the history of how the EP evolved.
